I will most likely be buying another bucoo, but with the normal guides instead of micro.Ĭomments: Super strong. The last time I used it, I didn't notice that the tip guide was cracked, which caused my line to sever mid cast and make me lose a $10 frog. I think they just might not be able to handle 50 lb+ braid in heavy cover situations, because all of the guides have either bent or cracked. I think the rod itself is great it's very light and well balanced for a big, heavy action rod. The only issue I have is that the guides are TERRIBLE!!!Ĭomments: I have the 7'3 heavy action version. Great sensitivity and got the job done for an all around rod (7' MH). Micros aren't for everyone, but been fishing these since 2011 and having to replace 1 guide out of 10 rods is pretty darn good.Ĭomments: We were targeting stripers on the boat using ghost shrimp rigged my 7' medium rod and next thing you know my rod started peeling line and was about to fly out the boat! thought i got caught into a branch or something next thing you know it was putting up a good fight took myself 45 mins to reel in 48 inch sturgeon about 40lber had fun with the rod just need a good reel and a good angler to handle the type of fish on this rod would defiantly recommendĬomments: Loved this rod when I first purchased it. If you like the rods and the guides wear out, go buy some wrapping thread, some macro guides, and flex coat. Have had only one guide break and replaced it myself. My advise for all other companies "go and take a semester course on rod building from professor Falcon.Ĭomments: I have a bunch of these rods, sometimes the guides bend. These BUCCOs are beyond durable, light, you can feel the bite and the barb going threw a fish's mouth on a hook set.
FALCON BUCOO MICRO HOW TO
There is a reason why FALCON has been around for ever, its because they know how to build rods. Other brands use cheap Elmers glue, guides that fold like paper and rip off, blanks are pure garbage and the worst part they cost twice as much as the BUCCO's. I have used other brands of micro and they just FALL apart before the year is over. A potent blend of value and advanced performance, the Falcon BuCoo Micro Guide Casting Rods deliver bucoo features standard - at a great price.Ĭomments: I have several of BM guide rods that i use on for Okeechobee. Exposed-blank Fuji Reel Seats and a No-Foregrip design also help transfer the blanks’ sensitivity into the angler’s hands, while Split-Grip Handles with ergonomic EVA Foam Grips deliver superior all-day comfort, and further reduce weight.
